Training of Trainers on iPET Modules took place on September 21-22, 2020

Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) hosted the online training for trainers. Consortium universities from Russia and Kazakhstan delegated teachers who will deliver iPET programme at their home institutions and may eventually become internationally accredited engineering educators.

Russian, European and Kazakh universities presented virtually their educational modules for the consideration and discussion of colleagues. So, the module "Innovations in the field of engineering pedagogy" was developed and presented by representatives of the DTI University in Bratislava, "System analysis in education" - by the team of Karaganda State University named after E.A. Buketov, “Time Management” - by the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Portugal, etc. The special focus of the training was shifted from the content of the courses (although it was presented), to educational technologies, teaching techniques and assessment methods that ensure student-centered educational process, transition on the training format where the teacher acts as a mentor, and not as a translator of knowledge.
An important part of the training program was the discussion platform of all universities participating in this event, when all teachers had opportunity to express their impressions, make comments and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the presented programs of the iPET courses.
